In Duda, it's possible to have multiple users editing the same site at the same time. This can be useful for speeding up the creation of a website, but there are some things to consider when allowing multiple users to edit the same site.
Errors that may occur
Having two users editing the same site at the same time means that there are multiple changes happening in the editor, some of which won't be seen by other users. Due to this, our system is constantly trying to figure out which edit should be saved and applied.
Common errors you may see when multiple people are editing the same site are;
- Changes not being saved
- Being kicked out of the editor ("please refresh")
- Latency issues
To avoid errors such as this, it's important to follow a few guidelines when editing the site.
- It isn't a good idea to have two people editing the same page at the same time. Try to have users working on separate pages instead.
- Avoid making global changes when editing the site so that other users aren't affected
- Assign different times to work on the site instead. That may be better than working at the same time and risking changes being lost.
