How do we get donations?

DudaMobile is not able to convert ecommerce checkouts or shopping carts. If you are currently collecting donations you can link to your ecommerce checkout from your mobile site, but the checkout itself will not be optimized by DudaMobile.  Alternatively, you can add a donation button or checkout functionality through our PayPal and Google Checkout integrations.  These two services work through their own respective payment systems.

Do I have to pay extra for hosting?

Qualified organizations get one free mobile website for life and there is no cost for hosting.  You can create additional sites at the regular DudaMobile pricing. 

General Information

What do I need in order to sign up for the DudaMobile Non-Profit Program?

  1. Enter your desktop site URL at www.dudamobile.com to create a new DudaMobile site. 
  2. Save your site – You can click on the Go Live tab (but don’t Publish!) or you can click on the orange Save Site button at the top of the page
  3. Email us at nonprofits@dudamobile.com - Be sure to include:

* Email address of your account when you saved the site

* Name or site URL or your new mobile site

* Name of your organization and your Employer Identification Number (EIN)

* Copy of your 501(c)(3) IRS Determination letter (attached to email)

  1. After you receive a verification email confirming your eligibility, you can publish your new mobile website!      

What kinds of non-profits are eligible?

At present, DudaMobile for Non-Profits is open only to qualifying organizations based in the United States. We only allow one free site per organization. Branches of umbrella organizations that share Employee Identification Numbers (EINs) with their parent organizations are eligible for individual sites. Branches must indicate that they are applying as a "related organization" during the application process and go through additional screening.

To be considered for inclusion in the DudaMobile for Non-Profits program, your organization's 501(c)(3) status must be publicly updated in the IRS's online database or you’ve provided a copy of your IRS Determination letter. 

Please note that the following organizations are not eligible for DudaMobile for Non-Profits:

  • Governmental entities and organizations;
  • Hospitals and healthcare organizations;
  • Schools, childcare centers, academic institutions, and universities (philanthropic arms of educational organizations are eligible). 

By agreeing to participate in DudaMobile for Non-Profits, qualifying organizations acknowledge that they have have an opportunity to read and agree to DudaMobile’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

DudaMobile reserves the right to grant or deny an organization's application or participation at any time, for any reason, and to supplement or amend these eligibility guidelines at any time. Selections are made at DudaMobile's sole discretion, and are not subject to external review.

I’m a non-profit based outside of the US, am I still eligible?

At present, DudaMobile for Non-Profits is open only to organizations based in the United States.

Am I locked into using the DudaMobile Non-Profit Program?

No, you can start another site any time.  Qualified organizations get one free mobile website for life.  You can create additional sites at the regular DudaMobile pricing.

Technical Questions

Can I use my own web address?

Yes!  Just enter your current website URL at www.dudamobile.com and instantly create a mobile site.  Our technology automatically converts existing desktop sites into mobile sites in seconds.  Our editor tool then allows you to customize the mobile version of your site.  After you convert your site to mobile, we keep the two sites - your desktop and your mobile site in sync, so that any changes you make to your desktop site that you want to appear on your mobile site will always happen automatically.

What if I don’t already have a web address?  

You will need to have a domain name or URL.  There are many popular domain name services such as GoDaddy, 1and1, Register.com and Yahoo where you can purchase a domain. Once you have your domain name, you can create a mobile site from scratch. Choose a template, enter your Facebook page and we’ll do the rest.  You can see our templates here:

How do I track my website’s statistics?

Website stats are available from your DudaMobile dashboard. Content Data, Traffic Sources, Devices, and Geographical Location information is available.

How does DudaMobile's technology work?

DudaMobile analyzes your desktop site by identifying the colors, logos, images, content and navigation.  Duda then looks for other services such as Facebook, Yelp, OpenTable, Twitter, Locu and more and pulls in that information as well to build your mobile site.  Duda uses this information to reorganize the objects and content it finds in a way that's pleasing and accessible for mobile devices.  

Does the DudaMobile Non-Profit Program limit the number of media, text and files on my site?

The terms of service for regular customers are the same for approved Non-Profit organizations with sites. You can only upload images to DudaMobile and there’s a practical limit to the number of pages and images a mobile site will support.  The basic rule of a mobile site is keep it short and simple.  We generally have no need to impose a limit to the number of pages, text or images.
